What exactly is ReceiptRaven?

The receipt routing layer. You snap a receipt once and it routes itself to wherever you choose — your accountant, an inbox, QuickBooks, Mercury, or your own API. Not a scanner you still have to file from, and not an ecosystem you move into: a neutral layer that sits on top of the tools you already use.

How does it actually read a receipt?

Snap a photo or forward an email. The raven extracts merchant, total, tax, and date automatically and routes it — and it never invents a value. If something can’t be read, it flags the gap instead of guessing.

Do you lock in my data? Can I leave?

Never. Your data is yours — export or delete everything anytime, and route receipts to any backend you like. Sharing is opt-in, off by default, and revocable; your data is never sold. The accumulated value is why people stay, not a cage.

Is my financial data safe? Do you connect to my bank?

Only if you want us to. Bank connections are optional, you turn them on, and they’re read-only — ReceiptRaven can list transactions to spot purchases that are missing a receipt, but it can never move your money. Receipt data is encrypted, and you can export or delete everything anytime.

Can I use it for both personal and business?

Yes. Keep home and work receipts apart but managed together — the card you paid with decides where each receipt routes. Toggle Personal / Business at the top to see each side.

What can I connect it to?

Any email inbox, QuickBooks, Mercury, and your own REST endpoint today — with more connectors on the way. There’s always CSV export for anything else.
